Scholar Strong: A Movement for Whole-Child, Whole-Family, Whole-Community Wellness

Through Scholar Strong, we redefine what it means for children and families to be healthy—ensuring every scholar has access to nutrition, movement, and emotional well-being to build a foundation for lifelong success

Scholar Strong is our in-school wellness initiative, designed to provide elementary and middle school scholars with a holistic foundation in nutrition, movement, and emotional well-being. By embedding wellness directly into the school environment, we ensure that scholars have access to daily opportunities to grow stronger—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What It Is:

How It Works:

  • Integrated School-Based Programming: Implemented during the school day and through after-school wellness sessions.

  • Holistic Wellness Curriculum: Interactive lessons designed to be practical, engaging, and directly applicable to scholars’ lives.

  • Community Partnerships: Collaboration with local fitness trainers, nutrition experts, and mental health professionals to enrich programming.

Scholar Strong Focus Areas:

  • Social-emotional learning lessons that build resilience and self-awareness.

  • Mindfulness practices and stress-reduction techniques tailored for school environments.

  • Peer mentorship and group discussions that create a supportive wellness community.

The Power Within (Emotional Wellness):

  • Structured fitness and movement sessions focused on skill-building and confidence.

  • Running and conditioning programs that develop endurance and goal-setting abilities.

  • Fun, team-based movement activities that reinforce the connection between physical activity and personal growth.

  • Hands-on cooking and nutrition education that connects scholars to the power of food.

  • Practical lessons on making healthy choices and meal planning.
